An Urgent Appeal to provide schooling, school meals & education for the girls of Afghanistan
Girls over 11 are banned from school & education in Afghanistan
On March 12th 2022, the Taliban issued a permanent ban on girls over 11 from attending school in Afghanistan, leaving them without formal education and desperately needed school meals in a country with widespread famine.
This is a clear breach of fundamental human rights, civil rights and women's rights.
How can we stop this?
The banning of education is tragic for the girls affected and destructive for society in Afghanistan.
To counter this oppression we're working with trusted local contacts to fund long-term, sustainable underground schools in Afghanistan.
This ensures the girls get the education they deserve and the food they need, to give them a chance at a future free of oppression.
